Structure #23060 - Prairie Baptist Rd. Over Gwinn Ditch
09/26/16: Construction is underway. Prairie Baptist Rd. will be closed between 191st St. & 206th St. for the duration of the project. The project is expected to take no longer than 120 calendar days (October 14, 2016).
Structure #23060 is located on Prairie Baptist Rd. between 191st St. and 206th St.
Reason for Project
Deterioration has occurred at various locations along the arch ring. Currently, the geometry of the structure is one-lane and has sight distance issues due to a rise on both sides of the structure.
The proposed design will widen the roadway and structure to two 12 foot lanes and a minimum 4-foot shoulder. The roadway will be elevated to eliminate any sight distance issues. The new structure will be able to accommodate a Q100 flood event with an additional two feet of free board for unexpected flood events.
