Lowes Way Public Hearing

Wednesday, January 25, 2017

CHA Consulting, Inc., acting as the agent for the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners, will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room, at Carey Ridge Elementary School, 16231 Carey Rd, Westfield, IN 46074. The doors will be open at 6:30 p.m. in order to view displays and talk to the representatives prior to the start of the hearing. The purpose of the public hearing is to offer all interested persons an opportunity to review and comment on the environmental document and current design plans for the proposed two-phase transpot1ation project connecting 146th Street to Keystone Parkway and Rangeline Road, via Lowes Way, in Carmel, Hamilton County, Indiana (Des. No. 1400873 and 1600650). This project is funded in part by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

The project will extend from Lowes Way and 146th Street, southwest to connect to southbound
Keystone Parkway, (Phase I). The on-ramp will extend further southwest from Lowes Way and the
Keystone Parkway on-ramp to Rangeline Road and continue to Cool Creek Boulevard (Phase II).
Phase I of the project will also include work along northbound Keystone Parkway. Three bridges
are also proposed as part of the project. The first bridge, carrying southbound Lowes Way, would
be located adjacent to the existing Keystone Parkway Northbound Ramp over Cool Creek. The
second bridge would carry the Lowes Way extension over Keystone and the third bridge would
carry the Lowes Way extension over Cool Creek to Rangeline Road, west of Keystone Parkway.
Two roundabouts are also proposed as part of the project, including Lowes Way at the Lowes
commercial property entrance and Range line Road and US 31. The total length of work included
in the project will be approximately 1.47 miles, adding approximately 0.80 mile of new roadway
alignment.
