Agency Operating Adjustments during Covid-19

Visiting Us:

Hamilton County Government Buildings and properties are open to the general public. For exceptions relating to a specific agencies protocol, or for information on general COVID-19 guidelines / operational procedures, please reference the announcements below:  

General COVID-19 Guidelines: 

Visitors to any Hamilton County buildings and/or property are encouraged to follow Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) guidance to take responsibility for their own safety and the health and safety of those around them. This includes staying home when sick, and applying the following recommendations:

  • Staying up to date with COVID-19 Vaccines,
  • If exposed to someone with COVID-19, wear a high-quality face covering (masks or shields) while inside County buildings for a period of 10 days from date of last known exposure (must provide own face covering),
  • Maintain social distancing, 
  • Use the hand sanitizer provided at the screening post, and stations located throughout the County buildings,

Operational Procedures: 

  • Point of Entry for the Judicial Center: Use the Main Entrance on the East Side of the building. 
  • Point of Entry for the Historic Courthouse: Use the West Door of the Courthouse.

Specific Agency Exceptions:

  • Hamilton County Courts: Visitors planning to conduct business within a specific court office and/or specific courtroom are asked to contact the corresponding court office for their specific COVID-19 protocols.  
  • Hamilton County Health Department: Visitors planning to conduct business within the office of the Hamilton County Health Department, in both public and clinic areas, are asked to visit the Health Department webpage (https://hamiltoncounty.in.gov/254/Health-Department) for information on current operational procedures.
