Bridge #160 - 116th St. over White River

Current Status

10/4/21: As of Monday, September 20, lane closures are now in effect for 116th Street between River Road and Eller Road for the rehabilitation of Bridge No. 160: 116th Street over the West Fork White River. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times on 116th Street throughout construction. Lane closures are expected to be lifted by Tuesday, November 9.

In addition, River Drive West will also be closed at 116th Street. Residents are directed to utilize the signalized intersection at 116th Street and River Drive East for the duration of the closure. 

Please exercise caution while driving through the construction zone.

Bridge 160 carries 116th St. over White River. 

Reason for Project

A preservation project aimed at extending the life of the bridge.

Project Scope

Bridge Rehabilitation – The existing bridge deck overlay will be removed and a new bridge deck overlay will be installed. The existing bridge deck joints will be replaced and beam bearings will be reset.

Design and construction costs will be funded locally.
