The Parent Project ®
With no manual on how to handle some of the current issues parents face, parents can feel frustrated and helpless. When it comes to modern problems like cell phones, social media, on-line schooling, and designer drugs what do you do? The Parent Project was written by parents just like you that found practical solutions to raising strong-willed children. The Parent Project is focused on empowering parents to take back their homes and improve their relationships with their children. Not only will you benefit from excellent information, you will grow in practical skills to deal with strong-willed youth. You will also find the support you need as a parent to navigate the challenges you face. We want you to know that you are not alone. We have been providing this class to Hamilton County parents just like you for over 15 years and know this class can change the course of your family.
Program Meetings
Parents meet 1 night per week for 11 weeks and a total of 33 hours. Parents attend and learn in a classroom model, to manage teen behavior problems at home. Parents receive and work within an activity based 216 page curriculum "A Parent's Guide to Changing Destructive Adolescent Behavior," available only to program participants. Parent support groups are formed using the UCLA self-help support group model. The Program orientation is a behavior modification model.
