Lowes Way connection - Phase 1

Current Status

Phase 1: The roundabout is nearly complete and work continues on the Cool Creek and Keystone bridges and ramps onto Keystone Pkwy. Work will continue in to fall and winter on the bridges. 

Phase 2: Designers are currently developing 90% plans to be complete in November 2018.

Project Scope

Phase 1: The project consists of the construction of a new southbound lane on Lowe’s Way allowing traffic from 146th Street to access southbound Keystone Parkway. The project will include two new bridges and a new round-a-bout at the Lowe’s entrance on Lowe’s Way.

Phase 2: Construction a new connection for motorists wanting to drive east or west between Rangeline Rd, Keystone Parkway and Lowes Way

Reason for Project

A new ramp is needed to facilitate travel from 146th St. to southbound Keystone Ramp. Currently, there is no efficient way for motorists to access Keystone Pkwy. from 146th St.

Design and construction costs will be funded using TIF district revenues and Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) Program funds.
