Native Plants to Support Immunity

Saturday, August 8, 2020

The prairie is home to many native plants that are traditionally recommended for immune support and balance. We will gather a few herbs, including purple coneflower, bee balm, and greyheaded
coneflower, to prepare a cooling summer elixir made with honey and vinegar. Also known as an oxymel, this preparation infuses fresh plants along with rehydrating electrolytes, and is a refreshing and nourishing herbal beverage when served with sparkling water and ice. Limited to 20 participants.

Date: Saturday, August 8
Time: 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Ages: 10 and up
