Statement Regarding its Response to COVID-19 Outbreak     03.13.2020

The outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID‐19) represents a rapidly evolving and challenging situation for individuals and organizations alike. Hamilton County Parks and Recreation is committed to the safety and well-being of our park visitors, staff and community. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, all park programs, events and facility rentals will be suspended from March 16 through April 15. The duration of this action may be extended based on health risks assessed at the end of this defined time period.

Hamilton County Parks and Recreations’ grounds and facilities will remain open to individuals and families until such time we are directed otherwise. Park staff are taking additional steps to clean high-touch surfaces. Additionally, a list of precautions provided by the CDC may be found online at CDC.gov -  https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html

If you are directly impacted by this decision and have related questions or would like details regarding your specific circumstances, please contact Hamilton County Parks Administrative staff at 317-770-4400 or Hamilton.Parks@HamiltonCounty.In.Gov.

We deeply regret any inconveniences, large or small, resulting from these suspended services.  We thank everyone for their patience and for understanding that these critical measures were taken on behalf of the community we serve.
