More Sites Could Mean Shorter Lines & Better Social Distancing
(NOBLESVILLE, MAY 11, 2020)

Close to 88,000 voters in Hamilton County will have a new polling location for the Primary Election on Tuesday, June 2nd. The new locations are spread throughout the county and include area churches, neighborhood clubhouses, and school buildings.

“We’ve recently made efforts to remove polling places from area schools,” said Hamilton County Clerk Kathy Williams. “But with schools out and some of our original locations choosing not to host this spring due to COVID-19, we’ve had to bring a few of those schools back into the fold.

“These new locations also have the added benefit of providing better accessibility, and since there will be more locations, they should also help limit lines and improve social distancing on Election Day.”

The new polling locations were approved by the Hamilton County Commissioners on Monday, April 27th. Bright yellow postcards will be mailed out this week to notify voters of their new voting locations. If you do not receive a yellow card in the mail or you just want to check your polling location, go to indianavoters.com, hamiltoncounty.in.gov or call the Election Office at (317) 776-8476.
