Residents Encouraged to Register for Lifesaving Program
(NOBLESVILLE, JUNE 9, 2021)
The Hamilton County Health Department will host a free STOP THE BLEED course on Thursday, June 24th. Participants will learn how to how to provide direct pressure to a bleeding wound, how to pack a bleeding wound, and how to apply a tourniquet.
“An accident can happen anytime, especially during the summer months,” says Jim Ginder, health education specialist for the Hamilton County Health Department. “We want to give people the confidence they need to go from a shocked bystander to an immediate responder. It could literally be the difference between life or death.”
The STOP THE BLEED class will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Hamilton County Health Department. Space is limited. Those interested in attending are asked to register at the following link.
