[ARCHIVED] COVID-19 Bivalent Booster Vaccine Available

The Hamilton County Health Department now has the Covid-19 Bivalent vaccine available at our office, 18030 Foundation Dr Noblesville.  

For now, appointments are being scheduled by calling 211.  You can try going to www.coronavirus.in.gov and clicking on Covid-19 vaccine and follow the prompts to schedule.  Walk-ins are welcome, but may be limited near the end of clinic.  

Vaccine schedule:    (Face coverings/mask are required in healthcare facilities were Covid Vaccines are given)

  • Wednesday- 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
  • Friday- 9:00 am to 11:30 pm

Some information on the bivalent vaccine: 

The virus that causes COVID-19 changes over time. Keep your protection up to date by getting an updated COVID-19 vaccine booster. The updated COVID-19 vaccine boosters include components of the original virus strain and the Omicron variant. This is called a bivalent COVID-19 vaccine.

The updated COVID-19 vaccine boosters are designed to give you broad protection against COVID-19, including better protection against the Omicron variant.

The vaccines: 

  • The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, bivalent, is authorized for use as a single booster dose in individuals 18 years of age and older. 
  • The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, bivalent, is authorized for use as a single booster dose in individuals 12 years of age and older.

Timing: 

The bivalent formulations of the Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines are for use as a single booster dose at least two months after completing primary or other booster vaccination.
