Mobile Clinic Dedicated to the Late Barry McNulty
NOBLESVILLE, APRIL 13, 2023
The Hamilton County Health Department dedicated its newest wellness vehicle this morning with a ribbon cutting attended by the Board of Health, elected officials, and Deputy Health Commissioner Pam Pontones.
“This vehicle allows us to provide public health outside our brick-and-mortar walls, connecting locally with people where they are,” says Jason LeMaster, Health Department Administrator. “We will take this mobile clinic to fairs, festivals, and schools to deliver health education and important services like immunizations and vital checks.”
The van was dedicated to the late Barry McNulty and his 33 years of service to the Hamilton County Health Department, the last 24 years as its Administrator. He passed away in December 2020 after a hard-fought battle with COVID. Barry's widow Ann McNulty was also in attendance.
“Barry’s commitment to public health ran deeper than his job,” LeMaster adds. “He was a public servant who constantly reminded us of our mission to ‘prevent, promote, and protect public health.’ This vehicle will help us live up to the standards Barry set for this department.”
