The Hamilton County Health Department’s Mosquito Control program has received notification that mosquito samples collected within Hamilton County’s jurisdiction have tested positive for West Nile Virus. Hamilton County residents are urged to take necessary precautions to reduce their risk of exposure.
In response to the detection of West Nile Virus, the Hamilton County Health Department will increase surveillance/control activities in the corresponding area(s). To reduce the number of adult mosquitos within the area, Mosquito Control will be spraying the evening of September 11, 2023. The areas of 98th & Chambray and 103rd & New Jersey have updated spray dates due to inclement weather on the originally scheduled date.
