Prosecuting Attorney's Releases

Posted on: June 3, 2016

[ARCHIVED] Corbin Montgomery Sentenced in Voluntary Manslaughter of Connor Shockley

The presiding judge of Hamilton Superior Court No. 2 accepted the plea agreement in the case of State of Indiana v. Corbin Michael Montgomery during a sentencing hearing held June 3rd. In March, Montgomery withdrew his previously entered plea of not guilty and entered a plea of Guilty to the lesser-included offense of Voluntary Manslaughter, a Class A Felony.

Upon accepting the plea agreement, the Court sentenced Mr. Montgomery accordingly and entered judgment of conviction against him. Mr. Montgomery's sentence is forty-five (45) years, with forty (40) years executed as thirty-eight (38) years in prison followed by two (2) years in work release. The remaining five (5) years will be suspended over him during three (3) years of probation.

Mr. Montgomery remains held at the Hamilton County Jail but will be soon transferred into the custody of the Indiana Department of Correction.

The Prosecuting Attorney thanks the Police Chief George Kehl and his Fishers Police Department -- especially Detective Sergeant David Flynn and the rest of the Investigations Division -- for all of the hard work in conducting this investigation.
